Early Childhood ELL Teacher

About the role

The school is seeking a qualified Early Childhood English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher to join BASIS Bilingual Kindergarten Nanshan for the 2027‑28 academic year. The teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers and support young learners in developing academic and social English proficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Advocate for the academic and personal/social needs of English Language Learners.
• Monitor academic progress of all ELL students using assessment data.
• Identify students requiring intensive English support and determine appropriate service levels.
• Support classroom teachers in integrating ELL best practices within the BASIS curriculum.
• Provide targeted intervention and support in literacy and STEM‑related lessons, including push‑in/pull‑out, small‑group, and individual instruction.

Required profile

• Experience working with early‑childhood English language learners.
• Ability to use English Language Proficiency assessments and progress‑monitoring tools.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with teachers and support classroom instruction.
• Commitment to fostering both academic and social development of young learners.

Required skills
