Director – Transaction Advisory Services (M&A)

About the role

The Director will lead the Transaction Advisory Services team, focusing on warranty and indemnity (W&I) insurance solutions for M&A transactions. You will work closely with external partners and internal Aon client service teams to build relationships and drive business development.

Key responsibilities

• Engage external distribution channels such as lawyers, investment banks, fund managers, accounting firms and private equity firms, as well as internal Aon teams, to develop client relationships.
• Advise and deliver Transaction Services solutions, primarily W&I insurance, on China‑based and offshore M&A deals.
• Place W&I insurance solutions for sophisticated clients and prepare presentation materials, data, and collateral for business development.
• Support the broader AMATS team on proposals and execution of Transaction Advisory Services and Human Capital M&A.
• Travel occasionally to meet clients and support sales activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in M&A practice with a track record of closed transactions.
• Familiarity with transaction documents, due‑diligence processes, warranties and indemnities.
• Strong commercial acumen, persuasive presentation skills and fluency in English and Mandarin.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• High‑velocity mandate stamina and a collaborative mindset.
• Preferred qualifications: CPA, ACCA, CFA, or legal bar membership.
