Director, Shopper Insights

About the role

The Director, Shopper Insights will lead the development of deep consumer and shopper understanding across the Greater China & Mongolia market. Reporting into the OU‑wide marketing function, this role will translate data, human sciences and advanced analytics into actionable strategies that drive portfolio growth, in‑store performance and long‑term brand equity.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end shopper insight process, from data collection and analysis to insight generation and commercial recommendation.
• Define and execute the shopper insight strategy across channels and occasions, identifying growth opportunities for the portfolio.
• Partner with Marketing LRP and OU‑wide programs to embed shopper drivers into portfolio and category strategies.
• Translate insights into clear recommendations for pricing, promotion, assortment, packaging and in‑store activation.
• Provide data‑driven decision support, leveraging syndicated data, primary research and advanced analytics to monitor performance and refine tactics.
• Act as a thought leader on shopper and channel trends within the beverage industry, building insight capabilities across the organization.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of marketing leadership experience with a strong focus on shopper insights, analytics, human sciences or market research.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and build cross‑functional partnerships.
• Growth mindset, curiosity and a commitment to excellence and servant leadership.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
