Device Purchasing Specialist

About the role

The Device Purchasing Specialist joins KONE's global purchasing organization, supporting mechanics projects in the China Supply Line. Working closely with supply chain, engineering and quality teams, you will drive supplier selection, manage RFQs, negotiate contracts and identify cost‑saving opportunities to meet project profitability, delivery and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage purchasing activities including supplier contracts, price negotiations and RFQ processes for international projects.
• Coordinate project meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve agreed targets.
• Identify and lead cost‑saving initiatives to meet KPI goals.
• Monitor delivery risks, implement mitigation actions and manage single‑source mitigation.
• Report monthly performance indicators, manage budgets, forecasts and savings risk actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in mechanics, engineering, metal materials or supply‑chain management.
• More than 5 years of experience in purchasing and project management, preferably in mechanics.
• Experience with international project procurement and managing global supplier relationships.
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand total cost of ownership.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and clear communication skills.

Required skills

• Fluent English language skills.
• Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel experience.
• Good negotiation skills and ability to work independently.
