Design Engineer (NVH Products)

About the role

Vibracoustic, a global automotive supplier within the Freudenberg Group, is seeking a proactive Design Engineer to develop NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) products at its Wuxi site. You will work through the VC ProMaP workflow from pre‑RFQ to SOP, delivering robust, cost‑effective designs.

Key responsibilities

• Design NVH products based on specifications of requirements (SOR) following the VC ProMaP workflow.
• Apply design guidelines, standards and best‑practice portfolios while implementing innovative solutions.
• Create parts with focus on robustness, manufacturability (DFM) and design‑to‑cost (D2C) using global VC engineering tools.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and define design counter‑measures and optimisations.
• Document development results (3D/2D CAD, FEA reports, durability predictions, ProMaP deliverables) and upload to VC ProMaP.
• Prepare dimensioned drawings with GD&T up to concept release.
• Collaborate with application teams, process engineering, testing and other functional groups.
• Support creation and update of internal guidelines, DVP specifications and participate in FMEA sessions.
• Assist BU patent activities.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Master preferred) in Mechanical, Industrial or Design Engineering.
• More than 3 years of related work experience preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D modelling using Catia or NX.
• Knowledge of NVH principles and rubber materials is advantageous.
• Experience with nonlinear FEA systems is a plus.
• Conversational English and local language.
• Experience in D‑FMEA participation is beneficial.
