Design Engineer

About the role

The Design Engineer will develop detailed designs for major assemblies, turning feasibility studies into production‑ready solutions. Working closely with cross‑functional technical groups, the role ensures designs meet quality standards, are manufacturable and align with project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Produce design schemes for major assemblies from initial concepts.
• Prepare detailed product and component designs in line with the quality control system.
• Create manufacturing drawings and data that comply with specifications and standards.
• Perform basic calculations to support design objectives and ensure cost‑effective solutions.
• Apply current department instructions and standards to all design work.
• Collaborate with the project team to meet agreed schedules.
• Identify and raise operational problems to supervisors for timely resolution.
• Incorporate manufacturing feedback to improve documentation and design processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Master’s preferred).
• 2–3 years of design experience in a related industry; vacuum industry background is a plus.
• Fluent in reading and writing English.
• Strong passion for engineering and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Expert CAD proficiency.
• Competence with automated design packages, specifically 2D AutoCAD and 3D Inventor.
• Solid‑modeling techniques.
