Data Analyst – Modeling & Statistical Projects

About the role

NIQ is seeking a skilled Analyst to execute technical and statistical aspects of modeling and analytical projects. You will work closely with commercial managers to deliver high‑quality, data‑driven results that meet client timelines and expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily modeling tasks including data processing, model adjustment, and result validation.
• Identify and resolve quality or statistical data issues throughout project lifecycles.
• Manage the technical and statistical components of analytical products.
• Contribute to customized projects and develop innovative solutions for functional and industry applications.
• Support commercial teams during project design and answer technical questions during client presentations.

Required profile

• BA/BS in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong statistical knowledge with the ability to design new methodologies.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and project‑management skills.

Required skills

• Python (mandatory)
• R, VBA, SQL (preferred)
• Visualization tools such as Power BI (preferred)
• Machine‑learning algorithms: decision tree, random forest, SVM, XGBoost, network analysis
• Big‑data technologies: Spark/PySpark, Hadoop, Hive, Map/Reduce (optional)
• Geospatial tools: ArcGIS, QGIS (optional)
