Application Security Engineer

About the role

The Application Security Engineer will protect enterprise‑grade digital platforms built on Sitecore and Advent Geneva solutions. Working on‑site in a day‑shift environment, you will design secure Azure configurations, manage Oracle patching, and ensure performance remains stable.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure network topologies that integrate Azure Firewall, load balancing, and DNS for critical applications.
• Embed secure coding practices into Sitecore core development projects and align with internal security standards.
• Conduct detailed security reviews of Advent Geneva workflows and configurations to meet regulatory requirements.
• Plan and execute automated performance tests to verify that security changes do not impact user experience.
• Manage Oracle application patching cycles, from advisory assessment to rollout and validation in non‑production and production environments.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement lasting remediation.
• Create reusable Azure Firewall rule sets, load‑balancing policies, and DNS configuration documentation.
• Perform application security assessments on Sitecore solutions, delivering clear remediation guidance.
• Monitor security and performance metrics across Advent Geneva platforms and trigger timely investigations.
• Document technical changes, test results, and patch impacts for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Academic background in computer science, information security, or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience configuring Azure Firewall, load balancing, and DNS in enterprise settings.
• Practical experience with Sitecore core development and security integration.
• Proven ability to manage Oracle application patching and performance testing.
• Strong analytical skills for incident investigation and remediation planning.
