Application Development Manager

About the role

Envalior is looking for an Application Development Manager to join its regional commercial team in Shenzhen or Shanghai, China. The role combines application development management with technical service for key clients, helping to grow new applications and increase on-site development coverage across more than 10 molders.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the application development window for strategic customers in China and globally, identifying their technical needs and coordinating technical tools based on scientific study and best practice for pipeline creation, validation and commercialization.
• Act as the internal ADTS window, converting customer quality targets (CTQs) from tooling, molders and regions into solution development directions and guiding R&D toward FEL and new product development.
• Provide on-site technical development with Envalior materials covering design, material, tooling, processing, post-molding, secondary processes and testing, summarizing trial results and driving projects from validation through mass production.
• Investigate, document and resolve customer technical complaints on quality or process variation, and implement corrective actions.
• Build application know-how quickly for new applications, mainly in the E&E industry.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in polymer science, material engineering or a similar field.
• More than 10 years of experience in a technical role; specialization in developing global key OEMs in consumer electronics is a plus.
• Good knowledge of the E&E industry, especially smart devices, markets and applications development.
• Proficient English communication skills in a global working environment.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of engineering plastics (PA, PBT, PET and others).
• Expertise in tooling, NMT, injection molding and secondary processes such as CNC, ANO, welding and testing.
• Quality control, troubleshooting and experience building and implementing processes.
