Acoustic Engineer (EE)

About the role

Logitech is hiring an Acoustic Engineer (EE) in Suzhou to lead the acoustic design of products such as keyboards. The role covers component selection, system design, testing and debugging, and works closely with electrical, mechanical and software engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Select and evaluate acoustic components such as microphones and speakers, optimizing their performance parameters.
• Lead the overall acoustic system design for products like keyboards, including debugging and sound quality improvement through acoustic testing and simulation.
• Provide preliminary acoustic design specifications for new products based on technical requirements.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to select and validate audio components, chips and circuit designs, and resolve issues such as distortion and background noise.
• Work with mechanical engineers on acoustic chamber design and with software engineers to optimize acoustic algorithms.
• Take part in product development and management, including design reviews across the product lifecycle.
• Define product testing specifications and support production lines, addressing acoustic anomalies.
• Evaluate new acoustic technologies, research market trends and support future product iterations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Acoustics, Physics, Electronics or a related field.
• 5+ years of acoustic design experience (or 3+ years with a Master's); experience with Bluetooth speakers/earphones is preferred.
• Fluent verbal English for technical discussions.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-cultural suppliers and ODMs.

Required skills

• Microphone and speaker design and validation (FR, sensitivity, THD, SNR, AOP, sealing, coupling, vibration).
• Digital signal processing: beamforming, echo cancellation, noise suppression, AGC, microphone algorithm tuning.
• Familiarity with telecom standards (TIA, Teams, Zoom) and voice recognition testing (Amazon AVS, Google GVA).
• Audio test equipment (ACQUA, Soundcheck, AP, GRAS, B&K); building audio labs is a plus.
• Design tools (ProE, CAD), data analysis (Office, Minitab) and testing tools (Klippel, Soundcheck).
