Account Manager – Research Sales (Academic)

About the role

You will build and maintain long‑term relationships with senior decision‑makers in academic institutions, identify and develop new sales opportunities, and create demand for our research‑focused products and services. The role aims to achieve revenue targets by increasing spend per account and turning scientific insights into actionable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Grow the sales pipeline through active account management and a strategic account plan.
• Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to close.
• Prepare targeted, solution‑oriented proposals with appropriate positioning and pricing.
• Develop and track pipeline using CRM tools and report weekly forecasts.
• Collaborate with clients and internal partners to resolve issues and drive satisfaction.
• Represent the product portfolio at speaking engagements, industry events, and trade shows.

Required profile

• University degree or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Technical aptitude with strong computer skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Proven ability to work in a team‑selling environment.
• Functional knowledge of negotiation and solution‑selling value propositions.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
