About the role
Join Bosch's Corporate Research – Research and Technology Center Asia Pacific as a Research Scientist focused on vehicle motion and energy management. You will conduct fundamental research, develop high‑fidelity models, and create innovative energy‑management strategies for electric and hybrid vehicles.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct advanced technology research on vehicle dynamics and energy management.
- Develop and maintain high‑fidelity physical models for chassis and power‑train components.
- Design and optimise energy‑management (EMS) and thermal‑management (TMS) strategies for EVs and hybrids.
- Use simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, CarMaker, Amesim, dSPACE) to evaluate system performance under varied driving conditions.
- Analyse simulation, test‑bench, and vehicle data to identify performance gaps and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with global teams in chassis, power‑train, thermal systems, software, testing and production.
- Stay updated on industry trends and contribute ideas to new product concepts, including patent filing.
- Support the transfer of research deliverables to business units.
Required profile
- PhD or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong background in vehicle dynamics, power‑train systems, and energy‑management concepts.
- Experience with modelling and simulation of automotive systems.
- Ability to work in an international, interdisciplinary team.
