About the role
Join Bosch's Suzhou team as an ECU Reliability Engineer, driving reliability excellence for automotive electrical control units (ECUs) from concept through production. You will shape design‑for‑reliability practices and ensure our products meet stringent OEM and Bosch standards.
Key responsibilities
- Derive, manage, and validate ECU requirements throughout acquisition and development phases.
- Implement Design for Reliability (DfR) systematically in product development and industrialisation.
- Develop and execute validation strategies, plans, and reports to meet product specifications.
- Collaborate with OEMs, internal partners, and external suppliers on reliability negotiations and testing.
- Perform load analysis, mounting environment assessment, and vehicle measurement evaluation.
- Conduct lifetime and aging‑law evaluations, mechanical failure mode analysis, and stress‑strength assessments.
- Lead reliability engineering activities such as FMEA, FAM, DRBFM, and problem‑solving workshops.
- Document project results according to Bosch quality directives and report status to stakeholders.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in material, mechanical, physics engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in electrical unit, PCB manufacturing, or mechanical engineering; automotive experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ECU damage and failure mechanisms and the ability to derive reliability requirements.
