Controller II – Business Control

About the role

The Regional Controller will lead financial performance for a critical region or Tier‑1 customer within ASM’s semiconductor business. Reporting directly to senior finance leadership, the role combines ownership of results with hands‑on analysis to drive revenue, margin, cost and working‑capital outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial performance for the assigned region, including revenue, margin, cost, inventory, capex and operating expenses.
• Act as the primary financial authority, ensuring decisions support sustainable profitability.
• Identify risks and opportunities, lead corrective actions and drive performance discussions with business stakeholders.
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership to regional finance team members, setting priorities and ensuring high‑quality execution.
• Maintain forecast accuracy for revenue, gross margin, OpEx and working capital; lead annual planning and monthly forecasting cycles.
• Enforce rigorous financial discipline, accountability and continuous‑improvement culture across the region.

Required profile

• Proven finance leadership experience in a regional or business‑unit setting.
• Ability to influence business decisions without formal people‑management authority.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on results and risk mitigation.
• High ownership, transparency and accountability in driving financial outcomes.

Required skills

• Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) expertise.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Knowledge of cost control, inventory and working‑capital management.
