Manager – Royalty Audit (Shanghai, China)

About the role

Connor Consulting International delivers specialized accounting and advisory services to ensure contract, license, and royalty compliance for global clients. We are seeking a Manager to lead royalty audit engagements in Shanghai, overseeing audit execution, data analytics, and client relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and supervise all phases of royalty audits, including resource allocation, timeline management, and deliverable review.
• Perform extensive Excel‑based data analysis for audit execution and client initiatives.
• Manage audit KPIs, budgets, and deadlines while coordinating with cross‑functional client teams.
• Prepare and review client deliverables such as reports and calculations.
• Coach, mentor, and evaluate staff, fostering a strong workplace culture.
• Develop strategic client relationships to generate revenue and expand service offerings.

Required profile

• BA/BS in Accountancy or related field; MBA, CPA, CA or similar certification is a plus.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in professional services, preferably with third‑party audit or contract compliance work.
• Strong references from current or former employers/clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information for diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and negotiate effectively.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
