About the role

The System Safety Engineer will lead safety requirement analysis, develop functional safety concepts, and ensure compliance with FuSA and SOTIF standards for automotive electronic control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse safety requirements from internal and external sources and lead safety discussions within projects.
• Develop safety solutions, including FuSA/SOTIF concepts at the system function level.
• Support hardware and software safety activities based on system‑level safety requirements.
• Design safety validation concepts, define KPIs, and evaluate validation results.
• Document system‑level safety artefacts and define safety targets.
• Perform analyses such as FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, triggering‑condition and misuse analyses to verify safety targets.
• Coordinate safety activities across sub‑systems and evaluate suppliers for functional safety.
• Promote safety culture within the project team and broader organization.

Required profile

• Degree in Automotive Engineering, Software, or Electronics.
• More than 3 years of system/safety experience in automotive electric/electronic control systems.
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, embedded system development, and ADAS function development.
• Strong understanding of functional safety and SOTIF standards.
