Web Developer

About the role

The Web Developer will design, build, test and deploy web applications and prototypes for Cathay Pacific’s digital platforms. Working in an Agile environment, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver high‑quality, secure, and scalable solutions that support the airline’s premium travel, cargo and lifestyle services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using modern front‑end frameworks and back‑end technologies.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional interfaces.
• Define and implement interactions between multiple systems and components.
• Execute quality plans, release strategies and testing processes in line with business requirements.
• Assess technical feasibility of prototypes and contribute to architectural decisions with technical leads.
• Support emergency, accident and crisis response activities as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of professional web software development experience.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience working in Agile teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Front‑end: HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, AngularJS, ReactJS, WebSockets, JSON.
• Back‑end: Spring Boot, J2EE, Node.js, Adobe Experience Manager.
• Database: Java, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB.
• DevOps: Docker, public cloud services, reference architecture implementation.
• Additional: Web accessibility, Search Engine Optimization, Agile methodologies.
