Training Devices Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Training Devices Maintenance Engineer is responsible for keeping aviation training simulators and related devices operating at a reliability level above 99% in line with Airbus training standards. The role ensures high training customer satisfaction, maintains continuous centre operations, and supports both routine and emergency maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑flight and routine checks on each training device.
• Respond to maintenance calls promptly to minimise training interruptions.
• Execute preventive maintenance according to the established schedule.
• Carry out corrective maintenance for any discrepancies.
• Update device databases (FM NDB, airport data, APT, CBT courseware patches and related applications).
• Run regular QTG checks and manage spare‑part inventories.
• Participate in scheduled shifts and on‑call duties, including after‑hours support.
• Host simulator demonstrations and provide logistic support outside normal hours.
• Brief new instructors and maintain accurate work logs, including on‑duty and troubleshooting reports.

Required profile

• Professional experience in aviation training device maintenance or a related technical field.
• Strong awareness of compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and respond to urgent maintenance calls.
• Good communication skills for briefing instructors and collaborating with the training centre team.
