Technical Trainer – ETCH

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Trainer to deliver specialized ETCH training both on‑site and at customer locations. The role involves extensive travel, classroom and lab instruction, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Present technical training courses in‑house and at customer sites, including customized programs and safety procedures.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge, develop and certify training materials, and ensure training systems are fully functional.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for system repairs and safety retrofits.
• Mentor junior instructors, lead small projects, and support engineering reviews and documentation generation.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in technical training, classroom/lab management, and safety compliance.
• Ability to travel internationally (approximately 25% of the time) and work flexible hours, including off‑shift or weekends as needed.
• Strong communication skills to build customer relationships and convey complex technical information.
