Technical Expert

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Expert to join our global team in Shanghai. You will be the primary point of contact for internal customers, providing timely technical support, product advice, and troubleshooting across our marine portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to internal enquiries about products, technical support, and service tasks.
• Deliver technical expertise, commercial advice, and troubleshooting to customers, end‑users, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain and update knowledge databases to ensure accurate information is available.
• Utilise IT tools to ensure transparent and consistent work processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve customer issues efficiently.
• Capture recurring product or service questions and standardise responses.
• Report customer feedback, performance metrics, and corrective actions to product management.
• Act as the go‑to expert for the Technical Support Center and handle escalated issues.
• Escalate complex cases according to established procedures.
• Stay current with product updates and attend relevant training sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the marine industry.
• High vocational technical or maritime training.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in a multinational environment.
• Very good command of spoken and written English.
• Computer literate with the ability to learn new IT tools.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, independently and on initiative.
• Strong time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Self‑driven, ambitious, and a collaborative team player.
