System Engineer – Thermal Management (HPU/FTU)

About the role

We are looking for a System Engineer to act as the customer technical interface for Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) and Fluid Thermal Unit (FTU) acquisition and lead design. The role is based onsite in Shanghai, working within a joint Bosch‑UAES development team focused on thermal management modules.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical liaison with customers for HPU and FTU projects, clarifying requirements, proposing solutions, supporting sales quotations and overseeing project execution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate thermal‑management solutions into customer projects.
• Lead the conceptual design of HPU and FTU, break down requirements, match components and assign detailed design tasks to CAD engineers.
• Review and approve 3D models, 2D drawings, Design Verification Plans (DVP), DFMEA documents and other engineering deliverables.
• Assist in resolving manufacturing and assembly process challenges.

Required profile

• Degree in Energy Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum two years of experience in thermal‑management product development.
• Strong knowledge of thermal‑management sub‑components, system architectures, performance specifications and validation methodologies.
• Excellent logical reasoning, goal‑oriented mindset and ability to learn quickly.
• Outgoing, collaborative communication style with fluent English (German a plus).
