System Architect for Car Computer

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled System Architect to lead the design, development, and integration of a car computer platform within a Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA) Electronic Electronic Architecture (EEA). The role focuses on unifying infotainment, ADAS and other vehicle domains onto a single board while ensuring functional safety and scalability for software‑defined vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Define the overall system block diagram, select components (MCUs, power‑management ICs, communication transceivers) and standardize service interfaces.
• Design real‑time data exchange mechanisms such as Ethernet/SOME/IP and CAN FD to enable interoperability with domain controllers (ADAS, infotainment, chassis, etc.).
• Collaborate with software, systems engineering and validation teams to develop low‑level drivers, communication stacks and diagnostic functions compliant with AUTOSAR.
• Translate customer and market requirements into technical specifications and contribute to EEA roadmap definition.
• Evaluate emerging technologies (high‑speed Ethernet, AI‑driven diagnostics, secure communication protocols) and provide integration recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, IEEE and internal design guidelines throughout the development lifecycle.
• Document design decisions, test plans and technical reports; present progress to R&D, product management and senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics, Automation, Vehicle Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in automotive EEA, SOA architectures or related areas.
• Proven experience with mainstream OEM SOA and distributed/domain/zone controller solutions.
• Strong project‑management and cross‑functional communication abilities.
• Fluent in English (German is a plus); PMP or similar certification is advantageous.
