System Analyst – Insurance Applications

About the role

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. is looking for a System Analyst to develop and enhance its General and Life insurance application systems. The role involves the full software development lifecycle, from analysing user requirements to delivering robust solutions that meet regulatory and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance insurance application systems throughout the SDLC, focusing on user requirements analysis and solution design.
• Ensure all IT solutions comply with group IT standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support team growth by strengthening technical and business capabilities.
• Communicate proactively with other IT teams to align solutions with overall business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in system analysis, design, and development.
• Proactive, open‑minded, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication in English or Cantonese is an advantage.

Required skills

• Procedural SQL programming (PL/SQL, T‑SQL, PL/pgSQL, SQL/PL).
• Experience with Web Services (REST and SOAP).
• Knowledge of JSON and XML formats.
