Student Support Teacher – Elementary School

About the role
The Student Support Teacher works within the elementary school to provide targeted assistance to learners identified through various assessments. Reporting to the Student Support Leader, the role involves both in‑class and pull‑out support, collaborating closely with homeroom teachers to tailor instruction for diverse needs.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver individualized and small‑group support to students based on assessment data.
- Plan and co‑create lessons with homeroom teachers, integrating inquiry‑based strategies.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and participate in parent‑teacher conferences.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school development initiatives.
Required profile
- Minimum five years of teaching experience, preferably in an elementary setting.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary inquiry‑based teaching, differentiation, and collaborative planning.
- Ability to build effective relationships with staff, students, and families.
Required skills
- Proficiency in integrating technology across the curriculum.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
