Sr. Manager, Biomarker Research

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to lead clinical biomarker strategy and provide scientific expertise on biomarker research and disease mechanisms. The role supports internal and external collaboration across therapeutic areas in China and works closely with cross‑functional teams to embed biomarkers into clinical development programs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement biomarker strategies for clinical development programs in China.
• Provide scientific input to study design, incorporating biomarkers into clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with China clinical research, pharmacology, biomarker operations, and external partners to ensure alignment and delivery of key deliverables.
• Work with biostatistics, decision sciences, and bioinformatics teams to analyze and present biomarker data.
• Represent biomarker activities internally and externally, including meetings with regulatory authorities and key opinion leaders.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in biology, pharmacology or related life‑science field with at least 5 years of pharmaceutical/pre‑clinical research experience.
• Proven track record of biomarker strategy development and implementation in first‑in‑human and Phase 1/2 studies.
• Broad knowledge of technical platforms such as IHC, immunoassays, PCR and NGS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
