About the role
Microsoft is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Windows 365 team, driving innovation in cloud‑based desktop virtualization. You will work on Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop, helping customers transition from on‑premise VDI to the cloud while contributing to a billion‑dollar business.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver high‑quality features for Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Collaborate with a startup‑like engineering team to plan and execute product improvements.
- Extend knowledge of desktop virtualization, Windows, Office, and cloud management services.
- Leverage AI throughout the development lifecycle, from design to monitoring.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science or related field.
- 0–2 years of software engineering experience building and shipping applications or services.
- Strong learning ability and effective English communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, agile, and comfortable handling ambiguity.
Required skills
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration in engineering activities.
- Object‑oriented programming language paradigms.
- Development of online services.
- Experience with relational databases, distributed systems, and big data technologies.
