Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Gaming Products

About the role

Logitech G, a gaming technology brand, is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design and development of gaming projects within its Gaming Engineering organization. The engineer works in a dynamic R&D center, turning user needs into product specifications, defining technical approaches and delivering designs to mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead new gaming products from feasibility study, mechanical design, risk analysis and validation, meeting or exceeding goals, cost and schedule.
• Research and evaluate customer needs, create technology solutions, communicate with stakeholders and manage NPI projects.
• Resolve complex issues independently with minimal guidance and take part in projects of diverse scope.
• Coordinate with suppliers and customers across the process from engineering specifications, design and prototyping to qualification and mass production.
• Collaborate with other functions such as GPM, PM, ID, EE, CMF.
• Train and guide junior staff where appropriate.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development of high-volume consumer electronic products.
• Preferred: experience coaching junior mechanical engineers and managing crisis situations.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Good spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Problem-solving methods such as 8D, PDCA, DMICA and risk assessment (FMEA).
• Geometrical tolerances, tolerance analysis and statistical analysis.
• Prototyping, materials, tooling and molding.
• CAD software: CreoParametric (master); CAE software: Ansys (preferred).
