Senior Legal Counsel I

About the role

FedEx is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel I to join its global legal team. The role supports the company’s People‑Service‑Profit philosophy by providing high‑quality legal advice and ensuring compliance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide generalist and specialist legal counsel on a range of corporate matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Advise business units on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
• Support litigation management and coordinate with external counsel as needed.
• Stay current on legal developments that affect FedEx operations worldwide.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field.
• Admission to the bar and ability to practice as an attorney.
• Minimum five (5) years of legal experience, including at least three (3) years in a relevant practice area.
• Proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex statutes and regulations.
