Senior Hardware Engineer – Wall‑Hung Boiler Controls

About the role

The Senior Hardware Engineer will lead the definition, development and validation of electronic hardware for wall‑hung boiler control systems. You will translate customer and market needs into robust hardware specifications and work closely with external suppliers to deliver compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer, market and product requirements and create detailed electronic hardware functional and technical specifications.
• Lead technical definition and development of controller hardware, balancing performance, cost, quality and schedule.
• Collaborate with external hardware suppliers to define architecture, review solutions, resolve design issues and deliver complete specifications.
• Define Human‑Machine Interface (HMI) requirements together with customers, product management, UX teams and suppliers.
• Own hardware specification documents and ensure full capture of customer requirements.
• Guarantee compliance with EMC, electrical safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Define reliability, durability and lifetime requirements; develop validation plans and execute verification and validation testing.
• Review and approve design documentation, schematics, component selections and test reports.
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities with software, mechanical, system engineering, quality, purchasing and manufacturing teams.
• Support issue analysis, root‑cause investigation, corrective actions and continuous product improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in electronic hardware development, preferably in HVAC, home appliances, industrial control or embedded systems.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, microcontroller‑based control systems and component selection.
