Senior Business Analyst

About the role

Springer Nature is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join its China Tech Hub in Shanghai. The role focuses on customizing the global digital experience for Chinese researchers and works within a fast‑growing, cross‑functional team delivering digital products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, developers, QA and platform engineers to define and prioritize requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and user stories.
• Support agile development cycles using XP and Kanban practices, ensuring timely delivery of features.
• Conduct research and analysis to understand user problems and propose data‑driven solutions.
• Monitor product performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Several years of experience as a Business Analyst in a digital product environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent command of English and ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural team.
• Proven experience working in agile (XP/Kanban) settings.
• Familiarity with the publishing or research technology sector is a plus.
