Senior Associate, Operational Excellence

About the role

The Senior Associate, Operational Excellence will work across internal ocean gateway operations, account management, customs, and technology teams to identify improvement opportunities, drive alignment, and lead implementation projects that scale Flexport’s global trade platform.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and monitor performance of associates and specialists, using metrics to drive improvement.
• Lead product improvement initiatives by collaborating with APAC Ocean Gateway Operations and Tech teams, creating business request documents, and prioritizing product requests.
• Drive process optimization projects, develop success metrics, and monitor post‑launch performance to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Required profile

• BA/BS degree with 3‑5 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, ocean carrier operations, or consulting.
• Fluent in English and Chinese/Mandarin with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Data‑driven analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and proven ability to build relationships across business, operations, and technology teams.
