Senior Account Advisor, Corporate

About the role

Hawksford Account Management in Shanghai is looking for an ambitious candidate with relevant experience in the professional advisory sector, who has managed the provision of corporate services to a client portfolio. The role covers the overall financial, fiscal and administrative compliance of around 200 foreign-invested entities, liaising directly with clients and coordinating support across internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for clients, giving high-quality service and advice and supporting colleagues in understanding clients' needs.
• Handle the full suite of incorporation and business support services, including monitoring the compliance status, budget and financial situation of clients' Chinese subsidiaries.
• Advise clients on accounting, tax, legal/compliance, treasury and HR matters.
• Answer client inquiries and concerns while following the company's standard operating procedures.
• Maintain frequent contact with clients through face-to-face meetings, conference calls, emails and phone calls.
• Develop business with existing clients to increase the number of active services per entity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Law and Economics.
• Proven client-facing experience in a consulting company, with the ability to draft complex emails to clients and colleagues.
• Fluency in Italian, Chinese and excellent spoken and written English; French, German or Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, delegate to junior colleagues and prioritize internal and external duties.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of local and international accounting and taxation, and the ability to read financial statements (a must).
• Good knowledge of MS Office, SharePoint, client relationship management systems and basic cybersecurity principles.
• Problem-solving attitude, proactive outreach under tight deadlines, effective listening and attention to detail.
