About the role

Teachanywhere is seeking a qualified Secondary Design Technology Teacher to join its Beijing campus. You will deliver engaging Design Technology lessons to secondary students, fostering creativity and practical problem‑solving skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Design Technology curriculum for secondary year groups.
• Prepare workshop spaces, manage tools and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross‑curricular projects.
• Lead extracurricular clubs, trips and competitions related to design and technology.
• Maintain accurate student records and contribute to school reporting.

Required profile

• UK teaching qualification (preferred) with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in independent, UK‑maintained or recognised international schools.
• Strong academic background; UK degree or higher qualifications desirable.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Design Technology teaching methods.
• Knowledge of workshop safety procedures.
• Effective classroom management and assessment techniques.
