About the role
The Repair Stress Engineer is responsible for delivering repair instructions that comply with certification and airworthiness requirements, while adhering to Airbus processes. The role develops technical expertise to qualify as a repair solution approver and ensures all repair solutions meet quality and delivery timelines.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze in‑service damage reports from airlines and MROs to assess structural impact.
- Develop compliant repair solutions, performing static and fatigue strength analysis in line with Airbus stress methods and certification standards.
- Prepare and authorize technical documents, drawings, and memos for repair instructions.
- Collaborate with the Design Office, Customer Service, Airtac, Materials & Processes, Aerodynamics and other stakeholders to ensure technically sound, customer‑focused solutions.
- Lead or support digitalisation and technical improvement initiatives and contribute to the global 24/7 “Follow‑The‑Sun” support strategy for AOG and Heavy Maintenance.
- Manage internal data collection, produce regular delivery reports and document lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering (post‑graduate qualification is a plus).
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
- Proven experience in aircraft structural design, stress analysis and application of fatigue and damage tolerance principles.
- Previous Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) experience is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of airworthiness regulations governing aircraft structures and repairs.
- Solid knowledge of metallic and composite materials and their manufacturing processes in aerospace structures.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Proactive, collaborative and results‑oriented mindset.
