Reinsurance Operations Specialist (Facility Reinsurance)

About the role

Marsh Placement (the Tianjin team) is looking for a Reinsurance Operations Specialist for facility reinsurance, based in Tianjin. The role supports the placement, binding, operational administration and settlement of facility reinsurance arrangements, ensuring quotations, bindings, reconciliations and settlements are accurate, efficient and in line with procedures and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support quotation and manage the request-for-quote process for facility reinsurance arrangements
• Coordinate binding and ensure placement documentation is completed accurately and on time
• Provide post-binding operational support and help develop and implement standardised operational processes
• Perform reconciliation and settlement, reviewing business data, fees, premiums and claims for consistency and accuracy
• Identify discrepancies, missing records and duplicates and follow up on corrections and process improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above; finance, accounting, insurance, actuarial science, statistics, data analysis or related fields preferred
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry
• Prior experience in insurance or reinsurance placement, operations or related administrative functions is preferred
• CET-6 or above and strong English for business communication

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
• Data processing and analytical skills
• Strong communication, coordination and cross-functional collaboration
