Python Software Engineer

About the role

Jump Trading Group is looking for a Python Software Engineer to join its Core Development team. You will work closely with traders and researchers to translate business needs into reliable, high‑performance software that supports global financial markets.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with traders to gather requirements and design technical solutions.
• Design, code, test, deploy and maintain Python applications in a Linux environment.
• Perform comprehensive testing to ensure accuracy, stability and minimal financial risk.
• Maintain a positive team environment and strong relationships with colleagues.
• Handle additional duties as needed to support business growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in Python development.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to testing and quality assurance.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and a collaborative attitude.
• Reliable and predictable availability.
