Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

IQVIA is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator in Beijing to support its purchasing processes in line with policy and procedures, including adherence to the IQVIA Transnational corporate purchasing policy that encourages vendor competition. The role works closely with the Professional Service Centre (PSC).

Key responsibilities

• Extract spend data from accounts payable or other databases and create spend reports in various formats.
• Research vendor information and suitability to satisfy PSC requests to approve vendors.
• Cleanse the vendor database and monitor and rationalize the number of vendors held on it.
• Create purchase order requisitions in the resident purchasing system as required.
• Act as interface with PSC, for example resolving vendor queries.
• Assist the business in soliciting competitive quotes for basic goods and services, prepare comparative analysis of bids, and handle arrangements up to the point of decision, liaising with PSC on the purchase-to-pay process.
• Liaise with vendors to help resolve incorrect invoices and work with colleagues on vendor queries on significant purchase orders.
• Streamline day-to-day purchasing processes to make the purchase-to-pay process more efficient.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines and to build effective working relationships with co-workers and managers.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PeopleSoft finance modules.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Attention to detail and accurate, efficient data entry.
