Purchasing Buyer – Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

About the role

Sandisk is seeking a Purchasing Buyer to support end‑to‑end sourcing and purchasing activities. The role ensures efficient, accurate procurement processes while aligning with company policies and driving value through strategic supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Create and process purchase orders based on approved requisitions, ensuring correct quantity, pricing, and delivery terms.
• Communicate with vendors to confirm orders, delivery schedules, and resolve basic issues.
• Own strategic supplier relationships, conducting quarterly and annual business reviews to assess performance, risk, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead negotiations, leveraging market intelligence and structured preparation to secure sustainable value.
• Manage supplier escalations, dispute resolution, and corrective action plans.
• Drive supplier rationalization and entitlement strategies to reduce complexity.
• Ensure contracts reflect negotiated terms and partner with Legal to improve contract lifecycle processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation.
• Strong ability to manage supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder alignment and risk‑management capabilities.
