Purchase Specialist – Indirect Procurement

About the role

Belden is seeking a proactive Purchase Specialist to manage indirect material and service procurement across the APAC region. You will ensure timely purchase order issuance, monitor supplier performance, and support cost‑reduction initiatives while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct day‑to‑day procurement for indirect materials, issuing price inquiries promptly.
• Release purchase orders to domestic and overseas suppliers and process invoices on schedule.
• Guarantee on‑time delivery, monitor supplier performance daily, and follow up on open purchase orders.
• Identify, select, and manage suppliers for indirect materials and services.
• Participate actively in cost‑reduction programs and negotiate pricing and terms.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Finance and other teams to align purchase requirements, production plans, and inventory targets.
• Assist the manager in optimizing the supplier pool and maintaining long‑term supplier relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in buying or purchasing.
• Proficient in reading and writing English.
• Self‑motivated with strong teamwork and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of SAP (preferred).
