Project Management Engineer - Motors and Generators

About the role

ABB's High Power Division, which supplies large AC motors and generators to industry, infrastructure and marine transport, is looking for a Project Management Engineer in Shanghai. The role reports to the Sales Support Manager and focuses on big customers in the Power, Marine, Petro, Water and Cement industries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects for motors and generators, controlling orders from the RFQ/reservation stage through handover and ensuring milestones are met as planned.
• Handle order changes and control costs to protect margins, and clarify orders with customers during fulfillment.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams in the factory to deliver products on time according to contract terms.
• Follow up shipments and deliveries to meet company financial targets such as EBIT, OCF and revenue.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical, electrical, commercial or project management.
• Experience in industrial organisations within mechanical, operations or project management functions.
• Electrical or automation background preferred; project management experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
