Product Engineering Development Engineer (BST)

About the role

As a Product Engineering Development Engineer at Bosch, you will support the mass‑production phase of semiconductor and MEMS products, ensuring technical excellence and smooth transition from development to series manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Cover technical topics during the product mass‑production stage.
• Support product owners and quality management, acting as the technical topic owner for risk assessment, problem solving, root‑cause analysis, data analysis and result delivery.
• Provide technical input in global simultaneous engineering (SE) team meetings.
• Lead or contribute as a key member of technical task‑force teams.
• Coordinate change management for series products.
• Offer technical support for customer requests.
• Participate in product development projects, handling characterization, analysis and related engineering tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Semiconductor, Microelectronics or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proven problem‑solving and risk‑mitigation capabilities.
• Ability to conduct deep research on engineering topics.
• Self‑motivated, good communicator and team player.
• Willingness to travel within Asia and occasionally to the headquarters in Germany.

Required skills

• Semiconductor and microelectronics knowledge.
• MEMS technology and product experience.
• Familiarity with fab, assembly and test processes.
• Understanding of qualification and validation standards (e.g., JEDEC).
• Data analytics proficiency; Spotfire experience is a plus.
