Process Engineer – AOI & Computer Vision

About the role

As a Process Engineer focusing on Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and Computer Vision, you will ensure smooth daily operations of AOI and CV equipment, support new product introductions, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing lines. You will work within Bosch's global network, applying systematic problem‑solving methods to enhance quality and efficiency for ADAS camera and radar systems.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot AOI and computer‑vision processes and equipment on a daily basis.
• Select and qualify new AOI/CV equipment, develop and release related processes for new products.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives and address MAE‑related issues for ADAS camera and radar modules.
• Drive CIP and RPP activities, including tooling localization and spare‑part optimization.
• Participate in global IPN meetings and lead customer audit activities related to process compliance.
• Apply Bosch Production System (BPS) methods to improve MAE performance and TPM metrics.
• Manage cross‑functional process teams and project requirements.
• Support team competence development and provide 24/7 on‑call assistance for machine or process issues.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience with final‑assembly processes and equipment used in AOI and computer‑vision applications.
• Familiarity with statistical quality tools such as CMK, CPK, PFMEA, and QC7.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for assembly‑related failures and equipment problems.
