Paralegal – Legal & Compliance

About the role

Oxford Instruments is seeking a Paralegal to join its Legal & Compliance team in Shanghai. You will play a key role in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with customers and business partners, while supporting the implementation of compliance policies across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and related documents for the sale or purchase of goods and services, using OI standard terms or customer/supplier terms as appropriate.
• Support sales and service teams in preparing bids and proposals, ensuring compliant responses to RFPs/RFQs and meeting deadlines.
• Resolve contract‑related issues and provide practical guidance to the business.
• Conduct risk assessments for contracts, obtain required approvals and implement contract management procedures.
• Assist with the implementation and monitoring of compliance policies in China, including anti‑bribery, data protection, trade compliance and sanctions.
• Support third‑party and channel‑partner compliance processes, including due‑diligence coordination and red‑flag identification.
