Oil Logistic Operator

About the role

The Oil Logistic Operator supports Cargill’s bulk material supply chain by preparing and handling trucks, railcars and barges for loading and unloading of oilseeds and related products. Working under guidance, the role ensures safe, efficient movement and storage of bulk materials while complying with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare railcars, trucks and barges for loading/unloading by opening lids, gates and hooking hoists.
• Operate bulk loading equipment and position pumps as directed.
• Perform ingredient testing and collect product samples.
• Complete loading and unloading inspections, documentation and quality records both manually and electronically.
• Adhere to safety policies, including equipment lockout/tag‑out procedures.
• Drive semi‑trucks to transport bulk materials when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed manual procedures with frequent guidance.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with lockout/tag‑out protocols.
• Willingness to work in a physical, on‑site environment.

Required skills

• Semi‑truck driving for bulk material transport.
• Loading and unloading of trucks, railcars and barges.
• Ingredient testing and product sampling.
• Manual and electronic documentation of loading/unloading activities.
