About the role

The Senior Procurement Manager for pork will lead the membership‑focused sourcing strategy, ensuring high‑quality products, optimal pricing and reliable supply for Sam’s Club members.

Key responsibilities

• Drive membership recruitment and renewal through high‑value pork items.
• Develop and execute category and sub‑category plans aligned with company initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, Marketing and other departments to implement seasonal, thematic and new‑product promotions.
• Analyze sales reports to identify opportunities, manage margins and control inventory.
• Oversee product development from raw material sourcing to manufacturing and quality control, managing cost changes.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and member feedback to shape category strategy.
• Make decisions on pricing, replenishment, packaging, PDQ, space allocation and speed‑to‑market for new items.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring quality, on‑time delivery and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in procurement, category management or purchasing, preferably in the food sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and market data.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier‑management capabilities.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of merchandising specialists.
