About the role

The Logistics Cost Control Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing logistics expenses across the supply chain. You will monitor costs, support budgeting, and lead cost‑reduction projects while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Track and analyze daily, weekly and monthly logistics costs, including freight, warehousing, customs, packaging and other expenses.
• Extract and synthesize data from ERP, TMS and WMS systems to identify cost drivers and savings opportunities.
• Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, investigating root causes of deviations.
• Assist in preparing the annual logistics budget and maintain rolling cost forecasts.
• Lead deployment of cost‑reduction initiatives such as load optimization, mode shifting, warehouse slotting and route optimization.
• Monitor project implementation, ensure adoption of new SOPs, and conduct post‑implementation reviews to verify realized savings.
• Develop automated dashboards and reports for logistics spending and project ROI, and support monthly financial closing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
