MYP & DP Mathematics Teacher (High School)

About the role

Western Academy of Beijing seeks a creative and inspiring teacher to deliver the MYP and DP Mathematics curriculum to high‑school students. The role reports to the HS Head of Mathematics and involves collaborative planning, assessment design, and contribution to the school community.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the MYP and DP mathematics curriculum, assessment and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with department colleagues to develop unit plans, lesson plans and assessment strategies aligned with WAB guidelines.
• Employ inquiry‑based and differentiated teaching approaches to meet diverse learning styles.
• Participate in extra‑curricular activities and school development initiatives.
• Maintain effective communication with staff, students, and parents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a recognized teaching qualification.
• Minimum two years of post‑qualification teaching experience.
• Experience with EAL learners and familiarity with IB MYP and DP programmes preferred.
• Strong understanding of contemporary mathematics teaching and learning theories.
