Medical Science Liaison (MSL)

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support a specific therapeutic area. The MSL will act as a scientific bridge between AbbVie and the medical community, ensuring up‑to‑date knowledge transfer and fostering strong relationships with key opinion leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain current medical knowledge of the assigned therapeutic area.
• Create, update, and deliver medical training and communication materials.
• Coordinate and participate in PPD medical projects, study operations, and event organization.
• Develop advocacy for AbbVie products through sustained KOL and prescriber engagement.
• Provide medical advice on product communication under guidance from medical advisors.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor degree (or higher) in the relevant therapeutic area.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Fluent English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Experience in a multinational pharmaceutical medical department or a related hospital department is a plus.
• Ability to coach junior team members and manage people when required.
