Math Teacher

About the role

Concordia International School Shanghai is seeking a qualified Math Teacher to join its faculty. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality instruction in Algebra and/or Geometry, supporting students in meeting the school’s learning outcomes and grade‑level expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with ESLRs and grade standards.
• Manage classroom dynamics to create a safe and productive learning environment.
• Assess student progress using varied assessment tools and differentiate instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider school community to support student achievement.
• Participate in professional development and school‑wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area and appropriate teaching certification.
• Minimum two years of successful teaching experience in a school setting.
• Commitment to the Christian ethos of the school and ability to model Christ’s teachings.
• Experience working with an ethnically diverse student body and familiarity with the American educational system (desired).

• Strong knowledge of developmental needs for the assigned age group.
• Proficiency in using a variety of assessments and differentiated learning techniques.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
