Material Planner – VM

About the role
We are looking for a Material Planner (VM) to manage raw material orders, supplier relationships and inventory in our Suzhou facility. The role ensures timely delivery of materials to support uninterrupted production and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage raw material order release, monitor order status and guarantee on‑time delivery to avoid production downtime.
- Monitor short‑ and long‑term supply status, identify risks, analyse shortages and develop recovery and preventive action plans in collaboration with PPC/PUR.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement (CIP) projects with suppliers and internal teams to optimise processes and achieve cost savings.
- Evaluate supplier performance on a monthly basis.
- Oversee raw material inventory, slow‑moving stock, SOP/EOP planning, support ECR activities and assist with material‑planning audits.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a focus on supply chain management or logistics.
- Strong analytical mindset, result‑oriented working style and excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Service‑quality driven attitude with advanced problem‑solving and continuous‑improvement capabilities.
- Customer‑service orientation, strong negotiation skills and intercultural competence.
Required skills
- SAP (mandatory)
- Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, Outlook
- Power BI
- Python or other digital‑tool competence (preferred)
